The Most Epic Ski Resorts Near Winnipeg, Manitoba
Asessippi Ski Resort

The self-described “Playground of the Prairies”, Asessippi Ski Resort is a family-friendly option for ski resorts near Winnipeg. The hill has 26 runs, including greens, blues, and black diamonds. There are also 2 terrain parks and a beginner area, with lessons and rentals available. If you want to take a break from shredding, check out the tubing area or the snowshoeing trails. With a charming village full of gift shops, a food court, and pubs, Asessippi is perfect for a weekend getaway.
Stony Mountain Ski Area

If you’re lucky, maybe you’ll even spot TJ, the mountain’s trained avalanche rescue dog, patrolling for those deadly Manitoba avalanches.
Holiday Mountain

Manitoba’s first ski resort, Holiday Mountain has been serving up excellent days at the hill since 1959. The resort features 315 feet of vertical and 11 trails, with options ranging from greens to black diamonds. Holiday Mountain is a great spot for beginners thanks to the carpet lift, and if you aren’t interested in downhill skiing or snowboarding, there is also a winter zipline.

Mystery Mountain Winter Park

There are no accommodations onsite but check out nearby Thompson for a place to stay.
Thunderhill Ski Area
